Heirs - Heiress - Royalty - Socialites

Aug. 12, 1976 - The house of Lords committee of privileges decide that Geoffrey Russell is the rightful fourth Lord Ampthill: Mr. Geoffrey Russell, the famous Russel baby of the 1920's today became the rightful fourth Lord Ampthill after today's finding of the house of Lords committee of Privileges. Since 1973 and the death of the third Baron Lord Ampthill, Geoffrey Russell has taken the title as a result of a 1924 House of Lords ruling. But this was challenged in February before the committee of nine peers by 25 year old John Hugo Trenchard Russell, son of late Lord Ampthill's third marriage. Photo Shows Mr. Geoffrey Russell, now the rightful fourth Lord Ampthill, is joined by his 15 year old daughter, Vanessa in a celebration drink at his London home after the house of Lords Committee of Privileges findings today
