May 04, 1978 - May 4th 1978 Denmark's biggest passenger ship to visit London is named by the Duchess of Gloucester The 14, 000 ton passenger/car liner Dana Anglia was officially named today by the Danish-born Duchess of Gloucester when she unveiled a plaque in the Bellevue Lounge on board. The Dana Anglia is the largest passenger ship built in Denmark and is also the largest ship to enter the upper pool between Tower Bridge and London bridge.
