A wood in Warwickshire, lying behind a lake in the grounds of Compton Verney, an 18th century house of derelict splendour, some seven miles from where Shakespeare was born, is the location for the film of A Midsummer Night's Dream, about to be made in five weeks and for 50, 000 by the Royal Shakespeare Company, under the direction of Peter Hall.
