Mar. 22 Meeting of the Nuclear Planning group in Bonn : Under the chairmanship of NATO secretary general Joseph luns the 29th meeting of the nuclear planning group (NPG) of the North Atlantic treaty organization took place at the west German ministry of defense in Bonn on April 7th, and 8th, 1981. The participants - the defense ministers of most of the member states and the highest NATO commanders arrived in the west German capital on April 6th. Among them the us secretary of defense Caspar wein Berger - the first member of the Reagan administration to visit west Germany. on April 7th. he was received by the west German chancellor helmut schmidt. the west German chancellor and the minister for Foregin affairs, hands Dietrich genscher, has also separate talks with NATO secretary general Joseph luns.
