Apr. 17 Kissinger and Tanaka Talk About Oil In Tokyo: U.S. Secretary of State Henry A. Kissinger, fresh from Peking after talks with Chou En-lai, and Mao Tse-tung, stopped off in Tokyo to hold talks with Japanese Prime Minister Kakuei Tanaka and Foreign Minister Masayoshi Ohira on the oil crisis, and agreed that Japan and U.S. should maintain adequate communication on the oil problem on the basis of mutuel understanding and trust, apart from discussion world problems, particularly the Mid East situation.
