Historical weapons demonstrated, Small Arms School, Hythe

Aug. 08, 1953 - Demonstration of Old time weapons: In connection with the centenary celebrations of the Small Arms Corps and the Small Arms Wing, School of Infantry, Hythe, Kent - a Centenary Tableau of the weapons used in the British Army for the past 150 years was held today in the Old School Grounds. The demonstrating instructors wore period uniforms. Photo Shows 7 years old Pat Robins holds her ears as Sgt. Instructor Norman Allard fires Brown Bess, a 1700 rifle, dressed in uniform of the same period
