Historical weapons demonstrated, Small Arms School, Hythe

Aug. 08, 1953 - Demonstration of Old Time Weapons. In Connection with the centenary celebrations of the Small Arms Corps and the Small Arms Wings, School of Infantry, Hythe, Kent - a Centenary Tableau of the weapons used in the British Army for the past 150 years was held today in the Old School Grounds. The demonstrating instructors wore period uniforms. Photo shows Sgt. Instructor Arthur Cox, dressed in 1700 period uniform, holds Brown Bass - a rifle of the same period for inspection by Sgt. George Spiers, a modern Paratrooper
