Jun. 06, 1955 - Gesture of cooperation during the Kieler Woche. The former German Oberstleutnant Gustav Zuschneid was welcomed by Rear-Admiral Richard G. Onslow on board of HMS Bermuda anchored at Kiel during the Kieler Woche. These days Zuschneid sent back to England the Union Jack, which had been hauled in by the Germans as they entered Paris in World War II at a British soldiers cemetery near Versailles.
