1957 - Vessels of the Royal Navy ready for Breakers yard. Biggest change ever in Military Policy. Many big ships of the Royal Navy including H.M.S King George V and her sister ship H.M.S Anson and H.M.S Duke of York are among the many lying at anchor at Gareloch on the Clyde ready for the breakfast yard. They have been condemned by the Defence white paper which signals the biggest change in Military Policy ever made in normal times.
