Holland and Indonesia terminate protocol, The Hague

Aug. 08, 1954 - Holland and Indonesia Part - The Governments of the Netherlands and Indonesia last Night Formally decided, by Signature of a protocol and attached correspondence, to terminate the Dutch-Indonesian union signed in 1949. Relations between the two countries will be regulated by international pacts. The documents will not be published until this evening, but speeches by Dr. Luns, Chiarman of the Dutch Delegation, and Dr. Sunarjo, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Indonesian Republic, Show that agreements have been made on foreign, cultural and defence matters.
