Dec. 12, 1973 - Marks and Spencer's Chief is shot by gunman at his London Home: Mr Joseph Edward Sieff, head of Marks and Spencer and a leading member of the Jewish community in Britain, was shot and seriously wounded by a gunman at his London home last night. The motive for the shooting has not been established. The gunman escaped in the darkness. Photo shows police outside the St John's Wood home of Mr Joseph Sieff today
