Homer Tomlinson, American bishop, in London

Nov. 11, 1959 - Self-Styled King of the World crowns himself King of Asia in London.: Bishop Homer A. Tomlinson, of New York, who claims he is King of the World, added all Asia to his realm when he set up his portable throne attired in a pink robe fashioned from a sari and placed a yellow gold crown on his head in Trafalgar Square, London, today. King Homer is head of an American sext, The Church of God, founded by his father in a mountain log-cabin back in the 30's. He says his mission is to bring exploits of peace to all nations. He is also standing for election as President of the United States and is confident he will be elected for two terms. Photo shows King Homer asks a policemen for permission to crown himself at this morning's ceremony in Trafalgar Square
