Jan. 01, 1968 - Blue Bird Party At Hyde Park Hotel: Over 200 children of well known parents and their friends were enjoying themselves at the annual Blue bird Party organised to help less fortunate children. The party, arranged by miss Violet Ballantine in aid of the league of Pity, was held at the Hyde Park Hotel. The Blue Bird is the emblem of the League of Pity which is the junior section of the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children.
