May 05, 1978 - Gellert Bubble Bath Reopened: Budapest: After several years of renovation work, the bubble bath of the Gellert Hotel and bathing complex was opened here today. One of the most attractive and most frequented swimming pools in Budapest, the bubble bath was closed down in late 1972. In the course of the renovation work bauxite concrete and other deteriorated structural elements pool was built. It will be operating around the year. A filtering equipment keeps the waters clean, and air humidity and temperature regulated by an air-conditioning equipment. The pool itself is illuminated from below by 16 floodlights. The bath is covered by a sliding roof. Temperature of the waters in the 250-square-metre pool is kept at 26 C° while that of small semicircular pool is 32 C° the bubble bath can accommodate 1, 000 guests at any point of time.
