Jun. 06, 1966 - Britain's Hovercraft shop window exhibition Hovershow 66 opens at Browndown. During the five days of Hovershow 66 being held at Browndown, near Portsmouth, as part of a drive to sell hovercraft to the world. Twelve types of British hovercraft were demonstrated and watched by 300 foreign military representatives, including Russians and Chinese.
