Hugh Fraser, Conservative MP
Oct. 10, 1975 - Caroline Kennedy escapes bomb blast: Caroline Kennedy, 18 year old daughter of the late President Kennedy and Tory MP Mr Hugh Fraser, her host in London, escaped death by minutes this morning when Mr Fraser's car was blasted by a bomb outside his house in Campden Hill Square, Kensington. One person was killed as he passed by and seven people were injured. Mr Fraser was about to drive Miss Kennedy to Sotheby's where she is doing a fine arts course. Their lives were saved by a phone call to Hugh Fraser from another MP, moments later his car exploded and was blown onto its roof. Photo shows Mr Hugh Fraser after the explosion this morning
