Ilie Nastase during disrupted tennis match at Wimbledon
Jun. 06, 1977 - Wimbledon Tennis Nastase Is Booed Off The Court After Umpire Storm: During his match against Andrew Pattison, of Rhodesia, Ilie Nastase was near defeat in the fourth set when he upset Pattison's concentration by holding up play for 10 minutes after demanding referee Fred Hoyles to come to the court, because he wanted more linesmen-at that time Nastase was 2 sets down and 5-3 down in the fourth, after the break he went on to win the fourth set, and then winning the match by taking the final set.
