Inappropriate advertising, reminiscent of wartime, Berlin

Nov. 07, 1970 - The senate of Berlin (Germany) has dropped a brick with the new advertising campaign. An Advertisement with stamps showing Ehert, Hitler and Hindenburg, a couple during the harvest (1946/47), Router and the Brandenburgerter and saying: In the beginning there is a city, then the center of Germany, later a bastion of freedom. And one is always proud of being a Berliner should draw the attention to the later history of the divided city. The public protested as the pride of the Berliner was connected with the Nazi time, and not everybody likes this connection with the new Berlin image. Photo shows the advertisement with the stamps
