Sep. 09, 1954 - Two Gurkha Officers Apportioned To The Royal Households To Attend The Summer Investiture: Captain Krishna Bahadur Rai and Captain Bahadur Thapa M.C. - two Gurkha officers - have been appointed the Queen's Gurkha Orderly officers ay Buckingham Palace. The appointments are the first of their kind - and their duties will be on July 6th when - in their fine uniforms - they will stand next to the Royal for the first time at the Summer investitures.
