Apr. 17 They Call Her The Ape Woman Of Poona: This horribly paralysed woman often seen in the streets of Poona, India is called the ape woman by the native because her gait resembles that of the anthropoid. Dressed in a well worn sari she walks on all fours, and begs for coins from passers-by. Mysterious legends about her origin is talked about by the people of Poona. She is a deaf mute, but despite all her handicaps has a big smile for everybody
