Apr. 18 Calcutta Violence : A fresh wave of mob violence and rioting has been sweeping Calcutta since December 18 (1967). This is the second disturbance in the city and other parts of Eastern India's West Bengal State in a month. The first weckling violence followed diamial of the communist-influenced United Front Ministry in West Bengal State on November 231 (1967) and installation of Mrs. Indira Gandhi's Congress Party-backed Doctor 2.C Church Ministry. On December 18 when the United Front lunched its weeklong programme of Civil Disobedience Movement
