India - Nepal - Pakistan

Apr. 18 In search of food. A group of famished people from Bangladesh inside the Indian frontier at last. They made the entry with the help of brokers on either sides of the border at an unguarded point, somewhere in the Nadia district. Hurriedly, fearful lest the Border Security Force catches them, even at that last stage - they are anxious to cover the last few kilometers to reach their final refuge - the home of a relation. The present influx started in September 1974, due to flood, economic crisis, crop failure and unemployment. A part fro other districts, about 60, 000 people have crossed into Nadia during this period
