Mar. 03, 1973 - Security Council Receives Proposal Urging Measures Against Attempts To Coerce Latin American Countries: The Security Council received a second draft resolution this morning as it continued its meetings in Panama City on measures for the maintenance and strengthening of international peace and security in Latin America in conformity with the provisions and principles of the Charter'. Speakers at this morning's meeting were the representatives of Trinidad an Tobago, Zambia, China, Indonesia, Yugoslavia and Australia. The representative of Guatemala spoke under the right of reply. The Council also heard a statement, under rule 39 of its rules of procedure, by Salim Ahmed Salim (United Republic of Tanzania), Chairman of the Special Committee of 24 on Decolonization.
