May 05, 1980 - The Indian Embassy Gun Siege ends in high drama: The Iranian Embassy gun siege in London is over. In the late hours of yesterday afternoon (Mon) members of the Special Armed Services (S.A.S.) stormed the Embassy building in Knightsbridge the 19 hostages, including the two Britons, were set free. Three of the Iranian gunmen were killed.
