Dec. 12, 1955 - Chief Minister of Singapore gives chaos warning on his arrival in India.: Mr. Marshall, Chief Minister of Singapore, arrived in New Delhi by air from Bombay for a short visit before coming to London. Met by reporters on his arrival at the airport, he told them that the immediate objective of the people of the colony was the attainment of internal self-Goverment by 1957. Any delay in conceding this would lead to chaos in the territory. He also expressed the opinion that unless our legitimate aspirations are acceded to frustration may well lead to the enactment of another tragedy like Cyprus.
