Jan. 10 Indonesia - Lombok: Lingsar village, West Lombok country side is famous for rain making ceremonies. All local population of nominal Muslims worship the stones (animists). Community seems fixed, professes Islam, Central Govt. says they should decide which religion they belong to, not mix them. Existence of this group is not known except to people who know more of Lombok. There is no reference in the standard work on Indonesian religions: Die Religionen Indonesiens by Stohr and Zoetmulder
