Sep. 09, 1964 - COUNCIL BEGINS CONSIDERATION OF MALAYSIAN COMPLAINT AGAINST INDONESIA The Security Council this afternoon began consideration of the complaint by Malaysia of aggression by Indonesia against its territary. Statements ware made by Dato Ismail bin Dato Abdul Rahman, Malaysia's Minister of Home Affairs and Minister of Justice, and by Sudjarwo Tjondronegoro, Indonesia's Deputy Foreign Minister. Statements of reply were then made by Dato Ismail, and by Sir Patrick Dean (Unit. Kingdom). At the start of the meeting, the Secretary-General, U Thant, informed the Council of the death today in Helsinki of Sakari Tuomiojo, the United Nations Mediator in Cyprus, The Council rose for a minute of silence in tribute to the memory of Mr. Tuomioja.
