Oct. 10, 1966 - Sukarno Weep at Grave of Slain General. President Sukarno weeps as he stands before the grave of General Ahmad Yani, his former C in C, who was slain by the Communist in last October's abortive coup, together with five other senior generals. This is the first time Sukarno has paid tribute to the butchered officers graves. Sukarno is being accused of knowing the coup was being engineered, and the disappearance of the generals would restore his diminishing power, as they were opposing many of his actions. The generals are buried in Kalibata Heroes Cemetery in the suburban of Djakarta
