Sep. 09, 1959 - Legal battle over custody of Bergman-Rossellini children: Film star Ingrid Bergman and film director Roberto Rossellini attended the Rome Palace of Justice recently to prove their claims to their children. After a stormy three hour session the court ruled that Rossellini, who should have returned the children on August 25th - must hand them over by October 8th.
