Inside Queen Elizabeth II's Rolls-Royce Phantom VI

Mar. 03, 1978 - Queen's Silver Jubilee Rolls-Royce Phantom VI: The Queen's Jubilee gift from the British Motor Industry, an £80, 000 Rolls-Royce Phantom VI, is now ready - three months late. The maroon and black Rolls should have been finished in December but owing to a strike at the Mulliner Park Ward Division in North London, where the car has taken more than a year to build. The Queen has requested that the handing over ceremony will be private. The car has some special features, including a higher roof line and a transparent rear seat and special interior lighting. Photo shows The Queen's built in cassette tape and radio on which she will play Scottish marches that she chose herself
