International Peace Marathon in Kosice
Oct 11, 1961; Kosice, Czechoslovakia; The 31st. annual International Peace Marathon took place last weekend in the East Slovak town of Kosice, Czechoslovakia. The event was won by BIKILA ABEBE of Ethiopia, with second Dr. Pavel Kantorek (CSSR) and in third place the Japanese long distance runner Nakao. In the picture, the winner Bikila Abebe arrives at the Locomotive Stadium at the end of the event
