IRA car bomb, Campden Hill Square, Kensington, London

23 October 1975 - Caroline Kennedy : IRA car bomb. The daughter of the late President John F Kennedy, and Tory MP Mr Hugh Fraser, her host in London, Campden Hill Square. Kensington. One person walking past was killed, and seven people were treated for shock. Mr. Fraser was about to drive Miss Kennedy to Sotheby's auction house where she was doing a fine arts course, what saved their lives was a phone call that Hugh Fraser made to enther M Moments later his daughter was between onto its rof. Photo shows the Jaguar of Mr Hugh Fraser after the bomb blast this morning - on right, the home of Mr. Fraser at 52 Campden Hill Square, Kensington
