Mar. 03, 1954 - 11 Dead in Arab ambush: The Israel Government issued a statement expressing its Revulsion and horror at the murderous attack by an organized Arab Force on a passenger bus in the Negev on Wednesday, which resulted in the killing of 11 men, women and children and the wounding of two others. According to an announcement from Israel military headquarters the bus was travelling on a regular service from Eiltot, on the Gulf of Akaba, to Beersheba, and was ambushed near the biblical Mount Hor, known as Scorpions Pass, by Arabs who are believed to have crossed from Jordan territory. The Arabs opened fore on the passengers with a light machine gun. There were only four survivors. Photo shows One of the victims lying beside the bus after the attack
