Feb. 29 Young Recruits for the P.l.o: on a Mediterranean beach, south of the port of tyr. Southern Lebanon, boys of twelve and upwards can be seem playing out school-boy dreams of capturing and killing their enemies and rejoicing in the victory. But for these boys it is for real, for they are in training for the Palestinian Liberation Organization and nick-named the Young cubs of the P.l.o. The beach in Rachidiye, has been used as such a training ground for the last few months. Here the boys are taught by older P.l.o. members to use Russian made Kalashnikov machine guns, firing them in the direction of the sea so not to hit any innocent by-standers. Self-defense lessons are also part of their training and many of them jest by trying out the new moves on friends
