Apr. 18 Yamit, Gaza, Israel--Yamit is one of the new towns built in Gaza after 1967 and is one which might have to be abandoned once a final settlement is reached with Egypt. In the meantime, residents have been asked by the Israeli government to remain living there until such a settlement, which they estimate will not be for another 2 to 3 years. Here, residents relax in a cafe in the public square of the shopping center
