Watched over by Constable William Murphy, Edna, an Israeli policewoman took charge of a busy junction in Manchester's Piccadilly. Edna is visiting Manchester with an Israeli Government-sponsored exhibition. designed to promote the sale of their products. After her stint on point duty she said: It was very interesting, and people were extremely pleasant and I talked to a few of them. Have been a Shoteret, a policewoman in Tel Aviv for the past seven months. I was thrilled when I was asked to come on the exhibition tour in Britain.
