Jun. 05, 1967 - Children In Israel Museum Decorate Anti-Blast Protection: Staff of the Israel Museum have been applying strips of cloth to windows in the building, as a protection against possible blast damage to occupants in case of air raids. Windows in one corridor leading to the Museum Youth Wing were among the first to be so treated. The children who come daily to art classes after school, saw the unsightly mess on the windows, and asked to be allowed to tidy it up. The result is a gay stained glass effect which children applied to both strips of cloth and the glass itself in spataneously applied Stained glass Mural'. Curiously enough the Israel Museum is currently featuring two Exhibitions of Egyptian Art of Ancient Times. One of the exhibitions is in the Youth Wing itself. The other, in the Museum proper is that of Amarna Reliefs, a big exhibition showing the influence of Ancient Egypt in the Middle East area.
