Jun. 06, 1967 - Security Council unanimously calls for cease-fire in Middle East: The security Council tonight unanimously called upon the Government concerned in the present hostilities in the Middle East, as a first step, to take forthwith all measures for an immediate cease fire and for a cessation of all military activities in the area'. The Secretary-General was asked to keep the Council Promptly and currently informed on the situation.
