Sep. 09, 1968 - Israelis from Hi-jacked plane arrive back in Israel.: The 12 Israelis held in Algeria for 29 days since the hi-jacking of the El Al plane on July 23rd, arrived back in Israel on Sunday (Sept 1st) after being freed by the Algerian Government. There was a joyful celebration at Lynda Airport where the seven members of the crew and five passengers were welcomed by families and relatives. Photo shows Capt.
