Aug. 08, 1969 - Israeli Planes Downed: Cairo, Aug 21 1969 (Mena) : Three Israeli planes were shot down Last Tuesday when a number of enemy planes attempted raiding the Southern sector of the Suez Canal. One Israeli plane fell on the western bank of the Canal, the second was seen Ablaze in the Suez Gulf after its pilot parachuted while the third was seen hitting the ground on the Eastern bank of the Canal.
