Dec. 12, 1969 - Israel and Egypt in Prisoner Exchange.: Israeli and Egypt on Saturday exchanged prisoners across the Sues Canal, less than 24 hours after an exchange between Israel and Syria. The exchanges were organised by the International Red Cross. Egypt returned to military pilots and Israel handed back and one pilot, five soldiers and 52 civilians.
