Dec. 12, 1969 - Successful Crossing operation on the Suez canal. Two infantry detachments of the UAR Armed forces Numbering 250 men crossed the Suez Canal on Dec 6th breaking into the enemy fortified positions and succeeded in building up all entry fortification and equipment in these positions on the Easter bank of the caml. The Egyptian forces remained occuying the enemy position for 24 houres, then retired safly to their base. Photo shows UAR Flag Raised Over the Israeli position after they occuise it
