Jan. 05, 1978 - Plo Chief is shot dead by Arab in Mayfair: Said Hammami, London representative of the Palestinian Liberation Organisation for seven years, was shot dead by a man believed to be an Arab in his Mayfair besement office yesterday, Aged about 24, the killer was armed with an automatic pistol, fired three shots into the head and body of Mr. Hammami, who was alon in his office in Green St. off Oxford St. The killer ran out and vanished into the crowds of Oxford St. shoppers.
