May 05, 1955 - Descendants of Pilgrim Fathers Visit Devon. A party of American descendants of the Pilgrim Fathers, arrived in this country last Friday and visited a number of place connected with the original Pilgrims. On Sunday, they visited Plymouth and saw the Mayflower sharf - and afterwards went to Brixham where they saw the newly laid keel of the Mayflower 11 which is to sail the same route as the original, in July next year. During their tour, they were the guests of the Mayflower project at the Journey's End Hostelry at Ringmore. Keystone Photo Shows: 16 year old Barbara Milner, of Plymouth, England, is a direct descendant of Myles Standish, military leader of the Pilgrim Fathers. Barbara stands before the Mayflower Stone which marks the departure of the original Mayflower in 1620, Barbara, who is wearing a costume of 1620, is a member of the staff of the Western Region Organiser of the Mayflower Project, which is rebuilding the Pilgrim Fathers Vessel
