Mar. 03, 1978 - Ex-Prime Minister Aido Moro is kidnapped and five of his bodyguards are shot dead: Leader of the Italian Christian Democratic Party, EX--Prime Minister Aldo Moro was kidnapped by five terrorists dressed in uniforms and armed with sub machine guns. They ambushed signor Moro's convoy when it was delayed in busy Rome traffic, killing five of his bodyguards it is reported that Signor Moro was seriously injured during the kidnapping.
