Mar. 03, 1953 - Coronation Influence Gets Onto Tables And Dresses: The coming coronation of Queen Elizabeth II is making itself felt in all manner of products from British designers. Many of these, including the pictured Coronation 3 1/2 souvenir bowl given a special merit award by Britain's Council of Industrial Design, will be shown at this year's British Industries Fair being held in London and Birmingham, April 27-May 8. Photo shows Left: Coat-of-arms bowl manufactured by Wilmot Breeden Ltd. Birmingham. It is in gilt and silver and what the manufacturer calls three-dimensional plastic which makes the pattern appear to be in relief. Right: A costume jewellery set consisting of a Victorian (the period of Queen Elizabeth's great-great grandmother) style necklace with matching earrings and bracelet.
