Jul. 08, 1971 - A J Cronin's 75th Birthday Tomorrow; A J Cronin the world famous Scottish writer now living at Baugy-sur-Clarens, in Switzerland celebrates his 75th birthday tomorrow (July 19th). Cronin who studied and practised medicine until 1930, when he gave this up and devoted himself to writing. One of his best known novels written during the thirties was the Citadel.
