Feb. 02, 1956 - Sir Jacob Epstein prepares to work on group of Statuary for memorial at new TUC building: Sir Jacob Epstein the famous sculptor was to be seen at the new - nearly completed Trades Union Congress Headquarters Great Russell Street, London, this morning preparing to start work on the group of statuary which he has been commissioned to produce as a memorial to fallen trades unionists of two world wars. The statuary is to be produce from a 10 ton block of Roman stone on which Sir Jacob will work behind a specially constructed screen. The form the memorial will take has not as yet been disclosed. Photo shows as seen from above Sir Jacob Epstein with the 10 ton block of stone from which he will produce the Statuary at the TUC Building this morning
