1963 - Jackie Kennedy Arrives In Athens: Early on Wednesday afternoon, Mrs Jacqueline Kennedy wife of the united state president, arrived in Athens to begin her two week rest holiday. She was greeted the airport by her sister Princess Radziwill, the united States Ambassador in Athens Mr Lambouis and other officials. The most important person at the reception was 12-year-old Chryssanthemi Papakotsi from south Greece who was given a heart operation in America two years ago at the personal invitation of Mrs Kennedy who arranged for the operation which could not be carried out ibn Greece.
