Jacqueline Tabick, Britain's first woman rabbi, London

Jun. 30, 1975 - Britain's First Woman Rabbi: Mrs. Jacqueline Tabick on Saturday became the first woman, outside the United States, to be ordained a rabbi. A thanksgiving service was held yesterday at the liberal Jewish Synagogue in St John's Wood, London, to celebrate the ordination of Mrs Tabick and five other rabbis.
